BeRn from Cork is a performance slam poet, a regular on the performance poetry circuit.
She was a finalist in the all Ireland poetry slam in 2007 and 2006 and hopes to be again
this year. She won the Clarinbridge poetry slam last year and the North Beach Nights Slam
in Galway. Also a talented singer songwriter, BeRn has performed her songs at a Ladyfest
Fundraiser in March, supporting Rae Spoon. BeRn will also be performing at a spoken word
event that she is organising in The CAT Club for the women's weekend on May 4th 2008.

O’Mahony’s debut single “I Can’t”, produced by Declan Sinnott, hit the airwaves in 2006
and was playlisted across the country. Since then, Clare has toured in Canada and the US

Michelle Brennan is a London based singer songwriter and vocalist, with a unique take on the blues.
Originally from Cork, her enthralling mix of smokey nursery-rhyme vocals and traditional Sean Nos
influenced performance has developed through two self-released EPs “Happy?” and “With Hannah’s
help” Michelle is currently writing tracks for
her next EP. |

Ophelia is a lyricist and vocalist mostly recognised for being an MC. Ophelia's style is
versatile and so she has been involved in many collaborations across many genre's of
underground music. She first started forming Hip Hop songs with DJ Moschops about five
years ago after they met in a dark musical basement. The partnership has grown even to be
redeveloped by a live instrumental act. Ophelia and DJ Moschops will be offering a diverse
and expressive Hip Hop set at Ladyfest Cork 2008.
